Cvc - Music Question
Thu, 9 December 2004 11:32:24 PM Eastern Daylight Time

Hello, Joined your site and began listening last week. If you don't mind, I heard a beautiful version of the famous Duprees hit: "You Belong to Me". It had a "Drifters" sound, I m definitely no expert. Do you know who it was ?

Hi! Thanks for listening to my station! I apologize for my late response. The song you mentioned was taped by me some time ago and I have always thought it was performed by the Duprees. Perhaps we have a re-recording here? (I wished they never did that!). Searching for it at Allmusic.com popped-up 383 occurrences (not all being the Pee Wee King penned song!) with a full page of occurrences on Duprees' recordings. The Orioles have also recorded the song but they are pretty much "dawn of Doo Wop" so I don’t think they are the performers here. I'll be looking for it some more. Once again: Thanks for listening and bringing it to my attention! Papaoommowwow

Nick Cirillo - Harmony Of Love
Tue, 22 June 2004 2:21:34 AM Eastern Daylight Time

Hi, First off, thanks for putting together a great selection of music to listen to. It has given me many hours of enjoyment. On your playlist there is a song that is listed as Harmony Of Love by the Five Dollars on Fraternity 821. This is not the song that is playing. The song sounds like a Dion and The Belmonts type of record. I would like very much to know who sings it and what it is called if possible. There are a couple of lines in it that might be a clue. Darlin what changed your mind and what I believe is this is the loneliness of life (OR Love).I would really appreciate any help you can give. Again, thank you very much for the great music. Nick

Thanks Nick, we know about the song.. (please take a look further down these pages) Perhaps looking for "Darling, What Changed Your Mind" might be a way to track this down.. can't anyone help us out? GM.

CM - Songs!
Wed, 16 June 2004 2:35:59 AM Eastern Daylight Time

Do you know of any places that you can pay and download single tracks of doowop, per say I have so many that it's no convenient for me to buy so many albums out there just to get one, if you know exactly what I mean. I've heard the great variety of songs and you have some that certainly I don't have. Again it's just a question and I'll appreciate your response if you could. Thx.
Doowop Jukebox Gold Listener.

Hi, Thank you for listening to DooWop Jukebox Gold! I'm sorry but we do not issue CD's or share songs. It’s one of the rules at Live365.com that we have to stick by, otherwise internet radio would become very illegal very fast. Trough the Live365 player you can now buy individual songs from MSN-music for 0.99 cents per song but it's just getting started and they haven't got a lot of Doo-wop songs yet. (It's doubtful they ever will!) Have Fun! GM

Cheryl Morner - New to your site

Now that I have the rockola skin where is the oldies and doowop music? Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, For our skins to work Real player needs to be installed on your PC first. If you have downloaded a skin (I’m not sure which one you mean) it would then automatically "pop-up". If it doesn't it could be that you just installed Real player and did not reboot yet. If this is not the case and you do get Real player with our skin then simply hover your mouse over it and it's buttons (some of them are quite small, I agree.) The links will highlight when you move over them displaying some text. Then click. If you are behind a firewall: playing streaming audio could be disabled. The "George Jones skin" does not have any built in stations yet. Best take a look at our help pages.

Gy Bennar - WOW......or " Boss "
Sat, 29 May 2004 2:21:34 AM Eastern Daylight Time

Thanks...whoever you are. Thanks for your commitment to this wonderful era of music. I grew up in New York and I was one of those 14 year old kids standing under a streetlight with several other friends practicing our 3 part harmony. And, yes we had a band...oh God it was almost a "combo"..remember that!! No it was a band.....lead guitar, rythym guitar, bass (that be me!) and drums. Vocals were lead singer, and three part harmony...first tenor (that be me!) What great years.. Thanks Again, Gy Bennar

Well, I'm papaoommowwow, Gy! Thanks for listening!
Papa.

"Cm" - Tracks purchase.

Hello I apologize in advance if my question is absurd. I am DooWop fan and your station is totally awesome. My question is the following: Do you or anyone that you may know sell DooWop tracks. I mean single songs that I may select, reason being is that sometimes only one song is wanted out of an entire CD. Thanks in advance. DooWop fan.

Please take a look further down these pages... we are not allowed to...

"NonStopDooWopShop" - hello.
Thu, 25 Mar 2004 3:14:03 PM EST

Last week I sent you a request for a few songs and you said you were going to add them to your library. One was the Clicks. Well, I found it and it is dawn of doowop....I am 56 and just becaue it is rare, doesn't mean it is good...Pleae cancel my requested songs. I think they are for older people closer to sixty.......

Hey, No age-discrimination here! [Joke] Don't worry, if a song is worth playing, - fine, if not - it's NOT on Doo Wop Jukebox Gold.

Brendon Vetuskey - Doowop radio station on ITunes
Wed, 24 Mar 2004 11:25:56 AM EST

HI: Up until yesterday I was listening happily to the doowop radio station in the "Itunes" internet radio. Yesterday I had to reformat my computer and reinstall the "Itunes" and now I can not seem to find this station for my radio listening pleasure. Would you have any idea on how to add this station to the "itunes" list of favorites? I would really enjoy listening to this station again! Thanks for your help, -Brendon V

Hi there! I'm not at all acquainted with Apple Mac and "Itunes" but they have a Windows version now so I can take a look some of these days. It could be that you still had an old link on your ITunes version. In August 2003 Apple banned all Live365 broadcasts since they turned up full too often. Live365 has just introduced their own - Beta version - MAC player that will have the same functionality as the Live365 player. Mayby you can try that one? Bet you the link used there will work in the regular Itunes player too. You can get it here.
Have fun! GM
