THE CAMEOS Book this Months featured artists: The Cameos a Doo-Wop 50’s and 60’s rock and dance band that is young at heart have spent many years performing at dinner clubs, night clubs, weddings and special events through out the tri-state area. In September of 2009 they performed at the PCN Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ and in November at the NJPAC in Newark, NJ. Past performances have included Atlantic City, The Meadowlands, and Rich Naders Doo-Wop Extravaganza.. details
DOO-WOP STORY You may be convinced that doo-wop originated from Afro-American roots but a lot of people don't know that one of the most successful doo-wop songs did not come from American soil at all. The song "Wimoweh" was written by South-African singer Solomon Linda as far back as 1939! details OVER 25 YEARS OF CD HISTORY

SOLOMON BURKE
The unforgettable performer of ‘60s Soul - Solomon Burke, died on arrival at Schiphol Airport, the Netherlands, Sunday morning 10-10-10. Solomon Burke is well known from his massive R&B hits "Cry To Me" and "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love". He died at age 70. May God bless his family and comfort them in these sad & troublesome times.
